... 1998 (10 years ago today), the U.S. Supreme Court held unanimously that a victim of same-sex sexual harassment may sue under federal anti-discrimination laws. This interpretation of Title VII of the Civil Righs Act of 1964 came in a decision in Oncale v. Sundowner Offshore Services, Inc., a case brought by a man working on an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico off the Louisiana coast.
