What is horrifying about Anne Frank’s diary is not so much the death of a girl as the crime of a state.

May I translate the page for you?

This is a photo of myself as I would always like to look. Then I would still have a chance to go to Holywood (sic). It's a pity but now I mostly look different from this.

What little girl doesn't dream about going to Hollywood? It breaks your heart.
