Guest Blogger: Lisa Hajjar

Today IntLawGrrls welcomes our colleague Dr. Lisa Hajjar (right), Associate Professor and Chair of the Law & Society Program at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Lisa holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from American University, an M.A. in Arab Studies from Georgetown University, both in Washington, D.C., and a B.A. in International Relations from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. The most recent of her many publications is Human Rights: Critical Concepts in Political Science (Routledge 2008). She co-edited the 5-volume work with Drs. Richard Falk and Hilal Elver.
In her guest post above, Lisa writes of Falk's unsuccessful effort this past weekend to visit Israel in his capacity as U.N. Special Rapporteur for Palestine.

Heartfelt welcome!
