(Write On! is an occasional item about notable calls for papers.) December 14, 2010, will mark the 60th birthday of the Office of the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees. In recognition of this anniversary, articles of about 12,000 words (including footnotes), which "address the position, role, and functions of the organization from a legal perspective," or which treat "any other aspect of the international protection of refugees," are now being sought for publication in the next volume of the International Journal of Refugee Law. (Essex Law Professor Geoff Gilbert is Editor-in-Chief of this peer-reviewed Oxford journal; the full editorial board list here.)
Deadline for submissions, in English or French, to be published in the 1st issue of Volume 22 is October 30, 2009; later submissions will be considered for subsequent issues.
