On this day in ...
... 1948, Pi-Hu Hsu (left) was born. She received her LL.B. from National Taiwan University in 1970, then taught at a vocational high school for 2 years before taking part in a judges' and prosecutors' training institute. Hsu was a public prosecutor and judge, and she's an LL.M. alumna of Columbia University. She's published on intellectual property and on women worker's rights. From 1991 to 2003, she served on the Supreme Court of Taiwan; she is now a Justice of the Taiwan Constitutional Court.
