Write On! Civil Liberties Prize

The IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law in Chicago is accepting entries for the Roy C. Palmer Civil Liberties Prize, which will award a $10,000 stipend to the author of a scholarly article or book that explores "the tension between civil liberties and national security in contemporary American society."
The article, on which the author will give a presentation at the law school, must either be in draft form or have been published on July 1, 2010, or thereafter.
Last year's winners were Harvard Law Professors Gabriella Blum and Philip B. Heymann, for their book Laws, Outlaws, and Terrorists: Lessons from the War on Terrorism.
Deadline for submissions for the 2011 Prize is July 1, 2011; details here.
