Slip-sliding with "lawfare"

But still, I looked to the Lawfare blog for its own definition. Rather than nail down the topic, the blog, perhaps appropriately, leaves us with nebulosity, and adds another wrinkle: lawfare as our own internal battles: ...

So writes Mary L. Dudziak, an IntLawGrrls guest/alumna, in her excellent Legal History Blog / Balkinization post that seeks to define a terme du jour, "Lawfare." Mary consults multiple sources -- the blog of the same name, Michigan State Professor Benjamin Kleinerman, Harvard Law Professors David Kennedy and Jack Goldsmith, and Duke Visiting Law Professor Charles Dunlap. Little surprise that Mary finds no clear answer to the meaning of "lawfare," given the absence of clear answers to issues subsumed within the term.
