This is the ultimate proof that U.S. is becoming more conservative. In the Netherlands, wherever you go and there are lines to the lady's restroom, the ladies go to the gentlemen one. One could say that they are becoming increasingly mixed.

On that note, I suggest our blog readers read When Everything Changed: The Amazing Journey of American Women from 1960 to the Present by Gail Collins. It is rife with similar examples of the discounting of women in our very recent and current history. Makes you wonder if the term "post-feminism" wasn't invented simply to convince us that we should have gotten over being discounted by now and just accept the status quo.
