Write On! Women's rights prize

(Write On! is an occasional item about notable calls for papers)

Enrolled students and persons who graduated within the last year are invited to take part in the competition for the Audre Rapoport Prize for Scholarship on Gender and Human Rights, sponsored annually by the Bernard and Audre Rapoport Center for Human Rights and Justice at the University of Texas School of Law.
The $1,000 prize, for interdiscipinary writing on international human rights and women, is named in honor of a woman who's dedicated herself to the advancement of women in the United States and internationally, particularly on issues of reproductive health.
Pleased to see that previous prizewinners include 2 IntLawGrrls guests/alumnae, Alice Edwards and Susan Harris Rimmer. And another alumna, Hilary Charlesworth, will be on this year's selection committee, along with Helena Alviar and Judge Cecilia Medina.
Deadline for submissions is July 15, 2011; details here.
