'This means the real challenge is to strengthen the ICC so it can better meet its brief.'
-- Professors Louise Chappell (near right) and Andrea Durbach (far right), in an excellent commentary just published in The Age, a leading daily newspaper in Melbourne. The authors outline challenges facing the International Criminal Court, then set forth recommendations for strengthening the institution -- in particular, recommendations for how Australians are poised to "make a mark" in improving ICC membership and status in the Asia-Pacific region. That's also the focus of the "Justice for All?" conference that Chappell and Durbach have helped to organize.
