Register right away for the American Society of International Law’s 2012 Annual Meeting and you can get the early registration rate – you know you’ll sign up eventually.
Where else can you hear:
► IntLawGrrls contributor Mireille Delmas-Marty (right; prior posts), the Chair of Comparative Legal Studies and Internationalization of Law at Paris' Collège de France,who will be honored this year by WILIG, the Women in International Law Interest Group, for her work on the internationalization of law (photo credit);
Asma Jahangir (left; prior posts), who will receive the 2012 Goler T. Butcher Medal recognizing her contribution to the development and effective realization of international human rights law (photo credit);
Patricia O’Brien (right; prior posts), the United Nations Legal Counsel and Under-Secretary-General for Legal Affairs (photo credit); and
► A plenary session with the presidents of several Hague-based tribunals?
From the vexed problem of US nonratification of environmental treaties, to states’ obligations to prevent and remedy violence against women with disabilities, the program addresses topics of current and enduring concern to practitioners, scholars and teachers of international law.
The Annual Meeting (for which I serve as a Co-Chair) will be held March 28-31, 2012, at the Fairmont Hotel in Washington, DC. Registration is here.
