... 2001, in Timor Leste, the National Council approved a regulation establishing the East Timor Commission for Reception, Truth and Reconciliation, known as CAVR, the acronym of its name in Portuguese. (See para. 47 here.) The 7-member Commission that would be sworn in the following year would include 2 women, Maria Olandina Isabel Caeiro Alves, who would serve as treasurer, and Isabel Amaral Guterres, who would be assigned the Reception and Victim Support portfolio. The 2,500-page report of the Commission (logo at right) was released in 2008.
