Applications for the position of Associate Director for Research and Policy are being welcomed by Harvard's Program on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Research.
The Program, a research and policy center founded in 2000, is based at the Harvard University School of Public Health and operates as "a common effort between Harvard University, the Executive Office of the United Nations Secretary General and the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs," as further detailed in the job notice.
Sought is someone who will be responsible to the Program Faculty Director and can fill, for a grant-funded term running through next June 30, "a senior management position"; specifically, "a legal professional with experience in the
implementation of international humanitarian law as well as the
development of international research and policy initiatives." A law degree and a master's degree in international law or a related field are minimum requirements.
