Go, 'Grrl! Bar group to honor M.C. Sungaila

Delighted to announce that the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles plans to present IntLawGrrls' own M.C. Sungaila (left) with its 2012 Distinguished Service Award at a dinner this Thursday, September 13, at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel. Organizers write:
'The Distinguished Service Award is given to a member of WLALA who has brought honor and esteem to the organization by their commitment to public service. The purpose of this award is to publicly recognize WLALA members who have demonstrated such commitment through, among other things, their pro bono, community service or bar association activities, or by providing legal services to the underrepresented and disadvantaged.'
As noted in prior posts, M.C., a partner at Snell & Wilmer, is a noted litigator. She's also done much pro bono work, including work on behalf of women victims of violence in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico.
