Labor Day long ago

Americans 1st celebrated Labor Day as a federal holiday130 years ago. (Prior posts here, here, here, here, and here.)
It's end-of-summer-day-off origins may have faded a bit over the years – sure true here in north Georgia, where some children are about to start their 5th week of school. The 3-day weekend's welcome nonetheless. So, with thanks to the Library of Congress, take a look at this Thomas A. Edison Inc. clip of how our forebears celebrated a century or so ago. (credit)
After that?
